Healing vacations, transformative experiences. This is how the 2nd International Medical and Wellness Tourism Fair, FITSaludCuba, presents itself. From April 21 to 24, 2025, Havana will become the global epicenter of a type of tourism where well-being is the ultimate destination.
Organized by Cuba’s Ministry of Public Health and the Comercializadora de Servicios Médicos Cubanos, S.A., the event will bring together representatives from the health and tourism sectors at the PABEXPO fairgrounds to showcase the strengths of a care model that combines science, experience, and hospitality.
FITSaludCuba is part of the 16th “Health for All” Fair and aims to strengthen alliances, share knowledge, promote foreign investment opportunities, and consolidate Cuba’s position as a reliable and competitive destination in the field of medical and wellness tourism.
Dedicated this year to wellness tourism, the event will present products, services, and advances in this area, born from the synergy between the healthcare and tourism sectors. It will also be a space to learn from international experiences, build connections, and map out new routes toward sustainable development in the field.
A Program to Connect Knowledge and Opportunities
Among the most anticipated activities is the 2nd International Seminar on Medical and Wellness Tourism, on April 23 and 24. This academic space will bring together world-renowned experts to share experiences, results, and trends in this growing sector.
This edition of the seminar will be especially dedicated to the International Addiction Rehabilitation Program for foreign patients treated in Cuba, a high-impact service that combines medical, psychological, and community-based approaches, with remarkable results in recovery and social reintegration.
Panels and presentations will address key topics such as: scientific innovations applied to health tourism, management and sustainability of medical tourism, strategic alliances, global market trends, addiction rehabilitation, medical insurance, and international marketing in digital environments.
The seminar will feature a keynote lecture by Dr. Evgeniy V. Chernyshev, president of the Russian Association of Medical and Academic Tourism, who will share an updated overview of outbound medical tourism in his country.
Also noteworthy is the 3rd Foreign Investment Forum in the Health Sector, on April 22, held in both in-person and virtual formats. It will address foreign investment opportunities in Cuba’s health sector and the incorporation of advanced technology in key services such as dental care. The forum will include the participation of Haozhan Chen, Deputy Director of the PICLA Project.
As part of the official program, there will be launches and relaunches of health tourism services, reflecting Cuba’s commitment to innovation and quality in medical care.
Honoring Commitment and Excellence
The program will also include the presentation of the International Health Tourism Award, recognizing institutions, travel agencies or tour operators, media outlets, and individuals who have made significant contributions to the development of this modality in Cuba and worldwide.
A Must-Attend Event for Global Professionals and Institutions
The event is designed for professionals in health and tourism, organizations, institutions and associations, hospitals and international clinics, hoteliers, insurers, tour operators, travel agencies, logistics institutions and medical suppliers, technology providers, media outlets, and others linked to the health tourism industry. They will find a space for exchange, updates, and future planning.
With more than one reason to attend, the 2nd International Medical and Wellness Tourism Fair reaffirms that investing in health and quality of life is the best decision. Participating in this event is more than an opportunity — it’s a sure bet on a future where traveling also means taking care of yourself.
We look forward to seeing you at FITSaludCuba!
