In order to offer products of excellent quality and the existing worldwide demand for services associated with health and wellness tourism, the Comercializadora de Servicios Médicos de Cuba (CSMC, S.A.) and the Cuban Ministry of Tourism devised a marketing strategy that contains several projects from the portfolio of opportunities, which include lifestyle improvement activities such as fitness, healthy eating, relaxation and personal care.

Among the areas identified as investment opportunities are the creation of wellness and health centers in spas of thermal-mineral-medicinal waters, with hospitality and highly specialized service capabilities, taking advantage of the extraordinary wealth of these natural resources that are distinguished by their quality and variety, thus allowing the expansion and development of the Cuban thermal tourism product.

These centers will use therapeutic agents, mainly natural: mineral-medicinal waters, their gases, vapors and peloids, together with Cuba's climate. They will also offer physiotherapy, alternative therapies and other leisure and wellness services for preventive, curative and rehabilitation purposes, in addition to promoting healthy lifestyles.

In order to expand the portfolio of opportunities in health and wellness tourism services, foreign capital is required to turn international health centers into an ideal place for a retreat in search of integral wellness, to reach an optimal bio-psycho-social state, where people, individually, as a couple or in groups, can live a singular experience in balance with nature and accompanied by wellness experts, which are located in private places of great natural beauty in the eastern part of the country.
