Comercializadora de Servicios Médicos Cubanos, S.A. (CSMC, S.A.), participated in the 5th Exhibition of Medical Services and Wellness, Health Improvement and Medical Treatment, MedTravelExpo 2022, which took place from December 5 to 8 in Moscow, Russia.
This important meeting was attended by 158 exhibitors from 12 countries, and its main purpose was to increase the availability and quality of medical care for all the citizens of the Russian Federation, especially those living in small towns and remote communities.
Beatriz Areña Fraga, First Vice-President of CSMC, S.A., gave a lecture on health tourism in the largest of the Antilles, as well as on the different possibilities it offers in terms of medical treatment and improvement of the quality of life, as part of the 4th Russian Health Tourism Forum.
The delegation's program also included the Cuba-Russia Business Forum. "Cuba: Health for All", which included the presentation of Mrs. Tatiana Mashokova, General Director of the National Center for Economic Collaboration with Latin America and Vice-President of the Cuba-Russia Business Committee. In this context, Areña Fraga made a presentation on Cuban medical services, as well as on the opportunities for foreign investment in the health sector in Cuba.
The forum was also attended by specialists from MEDICuba S.A., from the Center of Isotopes-CENTIS, belonging to the Cuban Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment, and from the Aica Laboratories Company, belonging to Biocubafarma. The opening speech was given by H.E. Mr. Julio Garmendía, Cuban Ambassador to the Russian Federation.
MedTravelExpo 2022, which was held at Moscow's Expocentre, was a perfect venue for the development of bilateral exchanges. CSMC, S.A. signed a contract with Havanatur International - Russia and held a business meeting with the President of the Russian Medical Tourism Association.
The event included several activities, including the 3rd World Summit on Medical Tourism, which covered not only this specialty, but also areas related to hospitality and support for excursions applicable to the medical and health tourism industry, among others. There were also product presentations and business forums.
