The University of Medical Sciences of Havana, in collaboration with Servicios Médicos Cubanos, S.A., invites cardiologists wishing to expand their education to apply for the Master’s in Interventional Cardiology—an academic postgraduate program designed to develop advanced competencies in the percutaneous diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.

Exclusively aimed at graduates of the cardiology specialty, the program requires a rigorous selection process conducted by an academic committee that will evaluate the applicants’ résumés. Over 18 months of training, students will engage with up-to-date content and solid clinical and academic practice across four key rotations: adult interventional cardiology, pediatric cardiology, care for pregnant women, and management of arrhythmias and pacemakers.

The curriculum includes specialized lectures, seminars, case discussions, theoretical assessments, and both individual and group assignments. At the end of each rotation, students must present a research thesis on one of the program’s main topics, such as ischemic heart disease, structural heart conditions, congenital heart disease, or electrical disorders.

With a total of 97 academic credits, graduates will earn the title of Master in Interventional Cardiology, awarded by the University of Medical Sciences of Havana.
