Cienfuegos, known as the Pearl of the South, will host the second edition of the EXPOSUR International Fair starting today. This event promises to serve as a platform to promote the province's export offerings, present foreign investment projects, and strengthen its position as a renowned tourist destination. The fair will be held at the prestigious Pasacaballos Hotel in the Cienfuegos Tourism Complex, from May 21 to 24.
Under the slogan "Doing more for Cuba", EXPOSUR-2025 aims to boost the presence of international exhibitors, foreign trade ventures, and foreign investment opportunities, while promoting Cienfuegos as a tourist destination. During the event, Servicios Médicos Cubanos (Cuban Medical Services), the company that coordinates the country’s potential for those seeking rest combined with medical and wellness treatments—or solutions to health problems—will showcase a wide range of opportunities offered through its extensive network of institutions in central Cuba.
SMC comes to EXPOSUR 2025 with a strong agenda combining tourism promotion, wellness, and business development. As part of its participation, the company will present its Business Opportunities Portfolio focused on the Cienfuegos region and will promote key programs that integrate health and tourism, such as:

In addition, a presentation titled “Cienfuegos, a Tourist Destination for Your Well-being” will be delivered by MSc. Isis María Leyva Betancourt, and a virtual poster entitled “Business Opportunity: A Circuit of Excellence for Your Well-being” will summarize SMC’s comprehensive vision for health tourism in the region.
The company will also highlight its leading services in tourist medical care and the programs available at Wellness and Quality of Life Centers in the central region. Simultaneously, the academic offerings for undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the region’s Medical Sciences Universities will be promoted—an asset for those interested in high-quality training in the healthcare sector. SMC will also present its foreign investment portfolio in the health sector, alongside business meetings and dialogue opportunities with potential international partners.
EXPOSUR 2025 will bring together representatives from Cuban and foreign businesses in an environment conducive to local development, small and medium enterprises, and innovation projects.
