Program content: The program is based on seven fundamental areas, each related to the object of work and study. These areas, derived from the guiding function of the comprehensive medical care system, cover general and yearly objectives, specific competencies, and skills. Each area is broken down into courses, and each course is fragmented into thematic units, conceptualized as a multidisciplinary didactic structure.
Practical study plan: The study plan focuses on practical work in the family doctor and nurse's office, in the polyclinic, and in base hospitals. Training is carried out full-time in the family doctor's workplace, linking the labor component of medical care, teaching, research, and administration in an integral manner.
Training duration and modality: The program has a duration of three years, structured in a modular way to optimize the learning and practical application of acquired knowledge.
