The prestigious Pedro Kourí Institute of Tropical Medicine in Cuba invites doctors from all over the world to enroll in its Master's in Infectology and Tropical Diseases. This study program is designed to contribute to global progress in the fight against infectious and parasitic diseases.

With 30 completed editions and two currently ongoing, this master's program offers a comprehensive approach to the infectious health-disease process. Its primary goal is to provide doctors with theoretical and practical training that facilitates clinical diagnoses supported by the laboratory, as well as comprehensive therapeutic prescriptions for infectious, tropical, and parasitic diseases.

The academic program lasts for two years and comprises three interrelated diplomas:
1. Scientific Research in Health
2. Basic Principles of Infectology and Tropical Medicine
3. Infectious Syndromes of Current Clinical-Epidemiological Importance

Participants will have the opportunity to exchange experiences with professors and tutors during hospital visits, thereby enriching their clinical and research training.

Program Structure

The curriculum includes a total of 14 independent courses, three integrative exercises (one per diploma), three thesis workshops, and a final methodological workshop. The program culminates with the presentation and defense of a research project (thesis), in line with one of the research lines of the Pedro Kourí Institute.
