Anesthesiology and Resuscitation is a medical specialty that encompasses a broad field of knowledge, treating patients before, during, and after any surgical procedure. It is responsible for resuscitation and pain relief, whether acute, chronic, or cancer-related. These situations may occur in patients with or without associated conditions, in elective or urgent cases, or in critically ill patients. Based on each of its functions, 55 modules were defined. Of these, 51 correspond to the medical care function, grouped into 15 areas, while the remaining 4 correspond to the other functions: administration, research, and teaching. The curriculum is structured to be carried out within anesthesiology and resuscitation services, with full-time dedication in these services, integrating the professional component with academic and research activities.¨
