The specialty of Maxillofacial Surgery is the branch of stomatology that deals with the prevention, study, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of diseases and trauma of the oral cavity and face, as well as of the cervical structures directly or indirectly related to them.

The curriculum structures its contents into 9 training areas, composed of modules, to be developed over a period of three years, with full-time dedication to training within the healthcare services themselves. This program integrates the professional component with academic, research, and management activities.
