Pediatric Surgery is the medical specialty responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of surgical conditions during childhood.

The curriculum was designed based on the distribution of areas and modules over a four-year residency, with full-time dedication. Its development includes clinical placements, courses, and rotations, integrating the professional component with academic and research activities. Based on each of its functions, 63 modules were defined. Of these, 59 correspond to the medical care function, grouped into 15 areas, while the remaining 4 correspond to the other functions: administration, research, and teaching.
