Gerontology is the science that studies the aging process from multiple dimensions: scientific, social, psychological, demographic, political, economic, educational, spiritual, and environmental. Geriatrics is defined as the branch of medicine that addresses the clinical, preventive, therapeutic, and social aspects of diseases in the elderly.
The program is designed in modules directly related to its field of work and study, derived from the guiding function of the system: medical care. Based on each of the functions, 18 modules were defined. Of these, 14 correspond to the medical care function, grouped into one area, while the remaining 4 correspond to administration, research, and teaching.
