            Gynecology and Obstetrics is the specialty concerned with the promotion, prevention, recovery, and rehabilitation of women’s reproductive and sexual health. Gynecology focuses on the physiology and disorders of the female reproductive organs in the non-pregnant state. The obstetrics profile of the specialty is mainly dedicated to pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period, both under normal and abnormal conditions.

            The program is structured into 25 modules. Of these, 22 correspond to the medical care function, grouped into 2 areas, while 3 correspond to the other functions: administration, research, and teaching. The curriculum was designed based on the distribution of areas and modules over four years of residency and includes rotations, courses, and practical training throughout its development.
