Hygiene and Epidemiology is the specialty dedicated to analyzing the health situation of different population groups, their determinants and trends, conducting epidemiological surveillance of diseases and health events, investigating causal and explanatory factors behind priority health problems, and assessing the health impact of services and other interventions on individuals, the environment, living conditions, programs, and other health technologies.
The curriculum is structured into six training areas, each made up of modules. These are developed over a two-year period with full-time dedication, integrating academic, research, and management components directly into health services.
