Medical Oncology is the branch of Medicine responsible for the study of malignant neoplastic diseases in individuals. It encompasses a broad field ranging from health promotion, prevention, early detection of pre-malignant lesions or neoplasms in apparently healthy populations, to treatment, rehabilitation, life prolongation, symptom palliation, and terminal care in cancer patients.
The Curriculum structures its content into 15 areas of training, composed of modules, which will be developed over a period of 3 years, with a full-time dedication to training in the health services themselves, linking the work component with the academic, research, and management aspects.
