The Program is structured in 6 areas of knowledge, distributed in 38 modules, 34 of them aimed at the function of medical assistance and the remaining four, corresponding to the functions of research, teaching-educational and administration, so that the resident will finish their studies with a high level of skill and depth in knowledge for the fulfillment of their assistance, research, teaching, and management functions.

The academic process takes place in real and autonomous teaching scenarios, where the resident is an active entity of self-learning, self-preparation and, together with the professor designated as training tutor, develop, guide and direct the entire process, as responsible parties and guarantors of its quality, directly and permanently supervise it, systematically control and evaluate its progress in academic activities
