            Pediatrics is the branch of General Medicine that deals with the study of conditions affecting the internal systems of children and adolescents, their prevention and treatment through personal and continuous care, with a comprehensive understanding of the individual as a biological, psychic, and social unit, in order to solve a large number of medical problems defined for their care.

            The Study Plan structures its contents to be carried out in the Pediatrics services, with a full-time dedication in the services themselves, linking the work component with the academic and research components. It was designed based on the distribution of areas and modules in 3 years of residency and contemplates during its development: stays, courses, and rotations.

            The Curriculum structures its contents in 2 areas of Training, composed of 28 Modules, of which 24 correspond to the function of medical care and 4 correspond to each of the remaining functions, administration, research and teaching. These will be developed over a period of 3 years, with a full-time dedication to their training in the health services themselves, linking the work component with the academic, research, and management components.
