The Comandante Faustino Pérez Hernández University Clinical Surgical Hospital was inaugurated on May 11, 1995.

 Its mission is to provide high-quality and excellent specialized medical care that meets the ever-growing needs of patients within their biosocial environment, promoting the use of advanced technology, research, and the continuous training of all involved personnel to achieve greater efficiency.

The International Medical Care Service provides specialized assistance to inpatients and outpatients, including foreign adults, Cubans residing abroad, and foreigners working in Cuba under contract. The service is staffed by professionals trained in foreign languages to support this activity.

The International Service features a comfortable hospitalization ward with seven private rooms for patients and companions, equipped with Wi-Fi, cable television, minibar, and food service.
