It is a regional hospital whose mission is to train national and foreign professionals and contribute to the continuous improvement of the population's health. It has an International Medical Care ward with four beds available, where 32 services are provided in 25 specialties: nine surgical and 16 clinical, showing the capacity to solve problems and satisfaction of patients and their families. This unit shows comprehensive results in all the services provided, especially in cornea and kidney transplants.

Taking into account the fulfillment of quality standards and the experience accumulated in the different services, it was accredited for emergency and elective care to foreigners. Its leading product is ophthalmologic surgery.
