            Oncology Nursing is a branch within Nursing that encompasses the care, autonomous attention, and health collaboration of human beings. Nurses who work in Oncology are dedicated to treating the health problems presented by a person with cancer and providing care to their family.

            The proposed Master's program in Oncology Nursing is innovative, aimed at Nursing professionals who work with oncology patients at all three levels of health care. Its objectives include investigating problems related to Oncology Nursing, based on a deep, well-founded, and scientific understanding of anatomy, associated diseases, diagnosis, and treatment, with the application of ICT in nursing processes, and the promotion of health and the prevention of risk factors for oncological diseases.

            The headquarters is the National Institute of Oncology and Radiobiology and it lasts 2 years, part-time, with a total of 2760 hours, distributed in 396 hours of lectures, 2364 hours dedicated to independent work. It grants 98 maximum credits and 92 minimum credits that belong to the mandatory teaching activities, and up to 6 free credits are awarded corresponding to the additional activities of the program. The professors, after having participated in the preparation and dissemination of scientific, teaching, and regulatory literature, possess the necessary experience to perform in the program.
