Characterization of the profession: The Doctor of Medicine is prepared to practice medicine with solid knowledge and scientific approach.
Within an ethical framework of action, provides comprehensive medical care to children, adolescents, adults, pregnant women and the elderly, as well as families, outpatients or hospitalized patients, through actions of health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation in the physical, psychological and social spheres.
It carries out administrative, educational, self-educational and research actions, as well as environmental health care.
