Quality of Life and Wellness Program with Horse Companion

                  This wellness and quality of life program uses trained horses as a therapeutic assistance tool for multiple diseases, taking advantage of the temperature, the rhythmic movements of these animals, among other elements, in a pleasant natural environment during vacations..

                  Duration: three hours the first day and two hours and 30 minutes for the next 10 days
                  Venue: certified equestrian centers in the country.

                  Presentation of the rehabilitation team and initial evaluation consultation (40 min).
                  Approach to the animal to start the familiarization process, wash it, pet it and feed it (30 min).
                  Tour around the site and participation in rodeo and bull riding show (90 min).
                  Basic and general kinesiology sessions with preparation or physical conditioning (mobilizations, exercises) (30 min).
                  Horse-assisted therapy sessions: The client will receive information on the horse riding activity, riding techniques, as well as a program of exercises for physical-motor and cognitive stimulation (40 min).
                  Tai chi sessions oriented to body and mind relaxation (30 min).
                  Relaxing body massages with natural products and Cuban musical rhythms (30 min).
                  Dance therapy sessions (45 min).
                  Digitopuncture (15 min).
                  Plantar reflexotherapy (15 min).
                  Recreational activities with the Center's entertainment group.
                  Family and/or couple psychotherapy (30 min).
                  Educational talk on how to incorporate healthy habits and customs to improve your Health, Wellness and Quality of Life (50 min).
                  Final reassessment consultation with experts depending on the patient's conditions and conclusions (50 min).
                  Farewell rodeo show (60 min).

                  -Strengthening self-esteem, confidence and concentration.
                  -Reducing anxiety and improving social interaction and relationships.
                  -Providing sensory stimulation. The movement of the horse provides a precise movement pattern, repetitive and very similar to the pelvis pattern during normal human walking. The three-dimensional movements of the horse's back simulate human walking.
                  -Mobilizing the pelvis, lumbar region and hip joint.
                  -Normalizing muscle tone.
                  -Developing postural control of the head and trunk.
