It can be requested by the patient, his/her relatives or the insurance company. It is usually done by air and in the national territory it can be carried out by conventional ambulance or intensive care ambulance.
Frequently, upon return, the evacuated patient is referred to another health facility, which will continue the treatment if required, or can also dismiss the patient.
The costs for this service are adjusted individually and will depend on the patient medical or physical condition. Possible destinations and working team that will participate in the evacuation are also included on the price evaluation.
