Tetralogy of Fallot Treatment

Contact us

Among the most frequently diagnosed heart diseases are ventricular septal defect, tetralogy of Fallot (formerly known as blue-looking heart disease), and transposition of big vessels.

In Cuba, prenatal diagnosis of congenital heart disease detection is over 85%, a number above other international referent countries, which translates into more happiness for children and parents.

We have national reference centers which, since their creation, have attended more than 15,000 patients and have performed more than 9,000 cardiovascular operations, with a survival rate that is currently up to 92%. More than 4,500 children have been rehabilitated since the beginning of the Cuban Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Program, in 1992.

The medical program consists of a hospital stay and includes lodging for a companion, as well as meals.
