The rise of Pediatric Gastroenterology encompasses novel approaches that highlight the need to disseminate medical advances in the specialty. This is reflected in the different research lines proposed in the master’s program, which address these needs.
The curriculum is structured into 13 compulsory courses and one elective. It has a duration of 24 months, part-time, with a total of 720 teaching hours (lectures and work-based education). It includes tutored training in accredited settings, linking the academic and research components.
The academic block will take place two days per week. The rest of the time (independent work) will be used by the students to prepare course activities, thesis workshops, as well as the development of their thesis and its defense before the designated committee.
The training process is essentially active, participatory, and problem-based, making use of various teaching and learning methods such as orientation lectures and work-based education. Emphasis is placed on different modalities, including ward rounds, case discussions, and rotations through diagnostic department areas.
Duration: 24 months.
