Cozy mountain hotel facility, built in 1901 (wooden), which was the first tourist hotel in Viñales. In 1977 its cabins were rebuilt, and it currently holds a three-star category. It belongs to the Cubanacán Group, S.A., and offers 79 rooms, including cabins and air-conditioned suites, with satellite TV and other hotel services.
It is a preferred destination for nature tourism lovers, as visitors can observe the region’s unique and lush flora and fauna, go hiking, explore caves and underground rivers, go horseback riding, and engage with rural communities. Nearby are the Cueva del Indio (Indian Cave), the Palenque of the Cimarrons, and within its offers there is an attractive route from San Vicente to the Ancón Valley.
This place is considered ideal for balneology, since the waters of the San Vicente River are hypothermal (30–31 °C), with healing mineral-medicinal properties. They are calcium-sulfated waters with low radioactivity, used since their discovery in 1871 to improve the quality of life of both locals and visitors.
