Villa Cocal, founded as an International Rehabilitation Clinic for addictions under the Therapeutic Community model on October 15, 1997, is located in a suburban, natural environment, with full accessibility, free of drugs, and 24-hour protection by specialized staff.

            The general services it offers include medical services, lodging services, and gastronomic services.

            The treatment is aimed at the comprehensive rehabilitation of patients with substance-related disorders and addictive disorders, under the Therapeutic Community model and with a cognitive-behavioral psychotherapeutic approach. The psychotherapeutic program is designed, validated, and directed by a specialized multidisciplinary team made up of psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, social rehabilitation professionals, occupational therapists, physical culture specialists, and other specialties accredited by the Cuban medical board, supported by administrative and service staff trained in the program’s profile.

            The therapeutic interventions include psychotherapy, pharmacotherapy, social rehabilitation and occupational therapy, natural and traditional medicine, sports activities, community interaction, and self-government.

            In addition to medical care, logistics for the patient and companion are guaranteed, and companions are also offered the opportunity to receive medical attention. There are also possibilities of engaging in tourism activities with accompaniment as part of the program.
